Do you know about L.E.A.S.H. Animal Welfare Society?

We recently adopted our beloved Jerry from L.E.A.S.H. What a superb dedication and love these people have for helping the forgotten dogs of our society. If you're looking to add a new dog to your family, please consider supporting this great cause.

Taken from www.leashsavinglives.com:

Located in Beautiful British Columbia and serving the Greater Vancouver & surrounding area, LEASH Animal Welfare Society is a BC non-profit dog-rescue Society.

We are a rescue, not a shelter, and are therefore a network of foster homes committed and united in the struggle against high-kill shelters and dog overpopulation.

We are a no-borders animal rescue that works with both dogs abroad in high-kill shelters as well as local surrenders. We operate solely on the generosity of local businesses, monetary donations from kindhearted individuals, and the amazing volunteers involved in our Foster Care Program.

We work with all breeds of dogs located in high kill shelters in the United States while also lending a hand to local animals in need as well in reserves, shelters, pounds, or as owner-surrenders for various reasons.

We work diligently to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home homeless, unwanted, abused, or abandoned animals allowing for them to have a new LEASH on life.

Our Mission

Our Mission at L.E.A.S.H. is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home the lost, displaced, abandoned, and deserted animals of Society. We are committed to educating the public about the realities of pet overpopulation and the near 11 million domesticated animals put to sleep annually.

Our Vision

We want to educate the world. To see the end of animal overpopulation, kill shelters, and backyard breeders. To see mandatory spay and neuter laws, tougher penalties, justice, and consequences for those that abuse, mistreat and neglect animals. We will continue until we succeed.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe animals deserve a voice
  • We believe it takes nothing away from a human to be kind to an animal
  • We believe every animal deserves to feel warm and safe and to be void of fear.
  • We believe in compassion for animals, empowering and educating others, speaking up when others fall silent, and leading by example.
  • We believe these 4 words could change the world for homeless animals:

ADOPT | FOSTER | DONATE | EDUCATE

Do one, or do them all, but please do something.

“Belief Means Nothing Without Actions”
